Cheery Lynn Paisley Love

Hi everyone!  Jenny here today sharing a card using dies from Cheery Lynn's latest release.  I cut the white background with the Paisley Frame and adhered a patterned paper to the back.  I then layered that onto pink card stock before affixing it to the front of an A2 sized card.  I cut the paisley backroud down a little so I had room to add the pink layer.

After the background was set, I started assembling flowers.  I used the Mehndi Botanicals #1 set and cut the flowers a few times out of both pink and yellow paper.  The highest flower was also backed by the cute Mandala Doily.  To finish the card off I added the Love  sentiment and light green rhinestones to the flower centers.

This card was quick and simple to create but the intricate Paisley Frame really makes it stand out.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Cheery Lynn Happy New Year!

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing more dies from Cheery Lynn's latest release.  I've been having so much fun designing with all the new dies.  On this card I used the new Yin Yang to create a Chinese New Year card.

To create the different colors I cut two Yin Yangs.  I cut one in half and used the smooth half as a mask laying it down over the white side before sponging the patterned side of the Yin Yang with distress inks. The Yin Yang was layered on top of the Florence Filigree Doliy.  The Happy New Year and 2017 are both from the New Year Shaker set.  I cut the numbers out of the shaker rectangle.  They were the perfect size and I really like the classic font.

To add a little more interest, the filigree doily is popped up with foam tape and I used a Wink of Stella pen to add sparkle to the colored half of the Yin Yang.  I also glued clear rhinestones to the Yin Yang to finish it off.

Cheery Lynn January New Release Blog Hop - Bohemian Collection!

Hi crafty friends and welcome to the Cheery Lynn Designs January 2017 Blog Hop featuring the new Bohemian die collection!  I am excited to show you three of Cheery Lynn's gorgeous brand new dies in action!

If you arrived from Debbie's blog you are on the right track.  If not, you can head back to the main Cheery Lynn blog HERE and start from the beginning.  Make sure to leave a comment on the Cheery Lynn blog for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate.

Out of all the new dies I was probably most curious to play with the Hippie Heroine.  She's so fun!  She has beautiful and unique details and she could work on cards for almost any occasion.  I colored her with distress inks and glued her to a piece of kraft card stock which peeks beneath the details in her hair.  She is popped up with foam tape underneath.

As much as I was thrilled with the Hippie Heroine, I'm a flower girl at heart and was over the moon to ink up these new Mehndi Botanicals.  One of the details that makes these flowers amazing is the score lines on blue-green flower.  It makes accordion-folding a breeze.  The dimension and pierced details on the petal and leaf edges are also gorgeous and whimsical.

The yellow flower was shaped with a stylus tool.  It has so many petals which creates a very full flower.  The cute little orange flower was created by stacking two smaller dies from the flower set.  The new Indie Border die, backed with patterned paper, added just the right amount of interest and balance underneath.

Cheery Lynn January 2016 New Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Cheery Lynn Designs January Release Blog Hop!  I am so excited to show you some of the fabulous new dies.  If you arrived from Debbie's Blog you are on the right track.  If not, you can head back to the blog HERE to start from the beginning.  Comments are appreciated and make sure to stop back and answer the question on the Cheery Lynn Blog for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs.

I am so inspired by the new dies, especially all the gorgeous new doilies.  This card uses the Quadrafoil Square Doily and the coordinating Quadrafoil Tag.  I cut the doily once out of white card stock cut with the Scalloped Square Stackers and used the outside as a frame to then in-set the blue-green doily.  The Chrysanthemums, Dandelions, Flourish leaves, Sweet  word and Humming Bird were all colored with distress ink.
