Cheery Lynn Fall & Winter New Release: Christmas & Winter

Hi friends!  Today I'm here with a card showcasing two new dies from Cheery Lynn's New Fall and Winter Release. Be sure to join us every day on the Cheery Lynn BLOG from July 22nd to August 3rd to see all the wonderful July Holiday new release dies.  One random commenter during the promotion will win a $20 gift certificate so comment each day for the best chance to win.

For this card I cut two Christmas Wreaths out of white card stock.  I colored it green with a sponge makeup applicator and distress ink.  I used red stickles to create berries.  Once the glitter glue dried I molded the leaves with a stylus tool.  The bow was also cut twice and molded the same way.  The bells were covered in gold embossing powder and then I drew a glitter line along the accent on each bell.

I glued the two wreath layers down to a card face cut using the Royal Scandinavian A2 Card Facer.  The bells were adhered with foam adhesive and I glued in the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Winter Holiday Word Set.  The back of the card facer was layered with a green rectangle and then an A2 sized rectangle behind so the interior of the card is nicely finished.

Cherry Lynn You Are Awesome!

Hi crafty friends!  This relatively new 3D Marigold Flower die from Cheery Lynn is very cool and I've been itching to use it again.  The die only partially cuts out the largest flower (in the three die set) so it's perfect to accent with colored paper behind.  It can also be easily cut out with a few snips.  You can see how I used it like that in my last marigold card HERE.  It's a three piece die set and the other two smaller flowers can be used to layer on top like I did here or to make individual smaller flowers like I did in my previous card.  It's an incredibly versatile and beautiful flower - can you see all the gorgeous veining detail?

I began with an A2 card base and then layered pink, dark gray, patterned pink and then another piece of white on top.  The You Are Awesome sentiment was cut four times and layered using the background papers.  The multiple layers add interest and the sentiment sits raised above the card top.  I cut the marigold and then used a stylus and molding mat on the petals to get them to curl.  I wanted enough curl to be able to see the colored paper behind for contrast.

Cheery Lynn July Blog Hop - IOE Birthday Embossing Folder!

Welcome to the Cheery Lynn Designs July Blog Hop!  I am so excited to show you the fabulous new IOE Birthday Embossing Folder.  If you arrived from Debbie's Blog you are on the right track.  If not, you can head back to the blog HERE to start from the beginning.  Comments are appreciated and make sure to stop back and answer the questions on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate.

If you haven't seen the IOE Plates in action yet, make sure to watch this video HERE and check out the new video HERE to see more Birthday folder ideas.  There are so many combinations that can be made with just the new Birthday Embossing Folder and IOE Plates.  The IOE Plates can be used with your existing embossing folders - and if you are like me, you have a ton of them.  The possibilities really are endless.

For this card I used the new IOE Birthday Embossing Folder, then adhered it to blue card stock with foam adhesive and then mounted it onto an A2 white card base.  The large flower is the Cheery Lynn Daisy Strip die.  It cuts six daisies in one run through my big shot, two of each of three sizes, to create one gorgeous flower.  You can scrunch the petals or roll them in or roll each down like I did here or up for at least four different looks with one flower die.  The blue flowers are Chrysanthemums.  These are smaller and the leaves are slightly wider than Cheery Lynn's Chrysanthemum strip die. The foliage was cut out of patterned paper using the Floral Bouquet Kit.

Cheery Lynn Thinking of You

Hello crafty friends!  This card is on the Cheery Lynn Blog today.  Lately I've been making tons of flowers using different Cheery Lynn dies.  They are easy to create and I love how they come to life once assembled.  I matched a few flowers to the striped Bo Bunny card stock and then developed the card. The card is a 5.5" square with the Scalloped LG Stacking Square as the base.  I layered a piece of white card stock on top, then the patterned paper, then the doily and then the sentiment.

I chose the Quadrafoil Square Doily as the central point of the design.  Both the Shasta Daisy and the Black Eyed Susan were colored with distress ink and the center of the Black Eyed Susan was rolled with a quilling tool.  I added a little distress ink to the edges of the blue petals as well as the edges of the Thinking of You Sentiment Square

Dies R Us Going Camping

Hi friends!  I'm back today with an inspiration card for Dies R Us's new challenge Outdoor Fun.  The camping dies are from Cheery Lynn's last release.  This card was created on an A2 card base.  Everything was colored with sponges and distress ink.  The stamped sentiment is from Riley and Co. and reminds me of a friend of mine and fellow scout mom.  I get a kick out of this saying, it's how I'd like to camp too.
