Hello Owl

Hi Everyone!  I'm back two days in a row to share an autumnal card.  I had so much fun playing with this Whimsical Owl Die.  Because of  his detail it was really easy to cut him out of different colored card stock and then paper piece all the different elements.  Next time I use him I'm definitely going to add patterned papers.  I think he could use a little more flair.

I added black rhinestones for his eyes and layered the scene behind him layering different colored paper and the Dutch Scallop Square.  The card needed more balance and interest so last I added the Hello form the Bohemian Word Die Set.

Cheery Lynn Valentine

Hi friends,  I'm back today sharing a CAS card using some of my Valentine's dies.  I was in the mood to try something different and for me, this is.  I love the look of Clean & Simple cards but rarely make them in practice.  I love the stitched edge detail and shape of this adorable heart die.

I first cut a heart out using the Be My Valentine Heart die.  I glued a piece of patterned card stock behind the cut out and then cut the heart die  a second time using a darker pink paper.  I cut Love out of glitter paper and then added the silver string to the top.  The silver cord and glittered love added extra interest and balance.

Hi friends,  it's Blog Hop time again! There are so many awesome projects in this Cheery Lynn Designs Hop, so make sure to click the links below to see them all.  If you arrived from Debbie's blog you are on the right track. If not, you can return to the Cheery Lynn blog HERE and start from the beginning.

For this card I layered up.  Since I knew I would be using lots of layers I kept the theme simple. Layering two trees together added a nice 3-D effect.  I wasn't originally planning to use glitter paper for this card but it needed a little sparkle.  The tree by itself is incredibly detailed which will be so fun to decorate on a future card.

Cheery Lynn Witch's Laundry

Hi Everyone!  I'm so in a Halloween mood these days but here in NY it still feels like Summer.  I'd envisioned a very different card with flowers and embellishments and spiderwebs but then I was sidetracked by some new Halloween paper and my new-for-me Witch's Laundry die.  This is the result.

I used distress ink on the edge of the orange paper and then cut out the center with an oval die from the Oval Classic LG Stackers Set to show off the spiderweb paper.   Silver glitter glue was used on the brim of the hat and the neckline of the dress to add a little magic.  I also cut the stockings out of orange, cut out every other orange stripe and glued them onto the black stockings.  The little extra color added so much interest to a simple card.  The sentiment is from the Witch's Skirt Set.  It's a great size for cards and you may have noticed that I tend to use it a lot.
