Cheery Lynn Happy

Hi!  I'm back today with a new card featuring the 3D Peacock die.  I love all my dies but I'm always amazed by the level of detail in this one.  It's also the perfect die to use when making a quick card because of its large size.   I had so much fun coloring the peacock and I blended a number of different distress inks to get the blue shade.  I also added flat-backed rhinestones to the feathers and a black rhinestone for his eye.

I cut the larger Happy word from the Happy die set.  The elegant script and the flexibility of mixing and matching other words makes these dies really versatile.  Last, before I glued the Peacock down I pulled up all the eyes on the feathers to add a three dimensional element.

Cheery Lynn Just For You

Hi Everyone!  I just love these new Cheery Lynn Vintage dies!  For this card I used the new Distressed Honeycomb die.  I colored it with distress inks and used colors from the background paper.

The Just For You die along with the other dies with different sentiments are some of my favorite dies to use on cards.  They are beautiful on their own and easy to add accents to.  I die cut the flourishes twice to get two larger flourishes.  I cut the bottom off one and added the extra flourish I'd cut off in the right hand corner.  The flowers were made using two sizes of tea rose dies.  I added pearls to the centers.  To finish off the card I added a twine bow.

Cheery Lynn Vintage Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Cheery Lynn Veriloquent Vintage Blog Hop! I'm so excited to show you a few of Cheery Lynn's brand new Vintage Dies! Make sure to answer the questions on the Cheery Lynn Blog for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate.

The base is  a 5.5" white folded card.  I cut through both of the folded layers using the French Flair LG Stacker.  I was careful to make sure I didn't completely cut through the top of the card so the folded top of the card was still connected.  I then cut another piece of 5.5" cardstock with the French Flair die and glued it to the top of the folded card.  I cut design paper with a smaller French Flair stacker and then adhered a Celtic French Flair Boutique Stacker turned in the opposite direction.

I used distress inks and metallic cream pastes to color the books.  To get the worn patina look I rubbed the pastes with my finger.  I added the Dusty Miller Frame Corners behind the center Celtic French Flair Boutique Stacker.  Because of the size and positioning they look like they are part of a larger design.

Cheery Lynn Birthday WIshes

Hi friends!  I'm back today sharing a birthday card.  Blue is one of my favorite colors and I thought I'd even match the Chrysanthemums.  The patterned card stock is double sided so I played around turning elements over to get the patterns to look best.  I really liked how the Chrysanthemums look cut from the matching patterned paper.  This is a small flower die set but it's a perfect size for cards and packs a big punch.

I used the Birthday Wishes Circle and cut a circle from the Circle Stitch and Cut Tool to add behind.  I really like the extra detailing the stitching adds on the circle.  The two larger Pierced Banners were cut using coordinating paper from the same pack.
