Dies R Us Always

Happy New Year!  I'm sharing a card for the Dies R Us Something New challenge beginning today.  My "something new" is the Cheery Lynn/Crafty Ann Lattice die in the background.

These roses were originally intended for another card but they seemed weighty enough on their own that I decided to build a card around them.  The petals were colored with distress ink and molded with a stylus. Embossing paste and glitter glue were dabbed on the edges for the appearance of snow and because I always like a bit of sparkle! Last, I added flat-back pearls to the center of each flower.

The edges of some of the pine needles were heat embossed with Frantage embossing powder and some were painted with a gold pen.  The edges of the lattice layer were distressed with a distressing tool and sponged with distress ink.
