Cheery Lynn May Release Blog Hop!

Hi friends!  Welcome to the Cheery Lynn Designs May Blog Hop featuring today's new release!

I am so excited to show you some of the fabulous new dies.  Check out my teammates blogs along the hop so you can see all the new dies in action!  If you arrived from Debbie's blog you are on the right track.  If not, you can head back to the main blog HERE to start from the beginning.  Make sure to stop back at the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate.

This card was inspired by the new 3D Marigold die.  This die only partially cuts out the back flower layer so you can get a wonderful pop-up effect (check out Bonnie's Card for a better visual of how the two new 3D dies can work).  I snipped around the petals of the largest flower, freeing my die from the paper instead.  It was quick and simple to do.  The marigold comes with two smaller dies for layering or making smaller flowers which was is useful in assembling flowers.

I added clear glaze to the largest flower and a flat-backed gem to the center.  Metal button brads finished off the centers of the smaller flowers.  The leaves and Lollipop flowrs were cut out of patterned paper.

I used the new floral bouquet kit to create the berries/buds in the upper left corner.  They were also covered with a clear glaze for the shiny effect.  Between the black and white layers I used cheese cloth for more weathered texture.

Small Lollipop Cutie Fringe B390

Thanks so much for joining me here on the hop!  Your next stop is Eva's Blog.  Don't forget to leave a comment on the main Cheery Lynn Designs Blog for a chance to win $20 towards Cheery Lynn Designs goodies!
